What customer personal information does MJN Canada collect?

We collect the personal information you provide us when contacting us to obtain our services, whether visiting our Enfamil A+ (Enfamil.ca and Enfamil A+ Shop) websites, Enfamil My Family Beginnings App (“Enfamil App”), contacting our Customer Resource Centre, or enrolling in our My Family BeginningsTM by Enfamil A+ Program.

What is personal and non-personal information

Personal information is information about an identifiable individual. It is strictly protected under this Privacy Policy.

Non-personal information is information that cannot be traced to an individual such as generic demographic information, for example. As it is not about an identifiable individual, MJN Canada is free to disclose such information through any means and use it for any purpose at its sole discretion.
What personal information we collect depends on whether and how you wish to customize your experience with MJN Canada.

You can visit much of this website without telling us who you are. The Enfamil A+ (Enfamil.ca and Enfamil A+ Shop) websites and the My Family Beginnings by Enfamil A+ App, however, collect and store certain information about you via industry standard methods such as cookies. Mead Johnson Nutrition uses web beacons on these websites. They do not collect personal information.

We use this data to better understand website usage on the whole. This information is stored in server log files for Enfamil.ca and is used by Mead Johnson Nutrition for statistical reporting. When you choose to opt into customization of the websites to your interests or to provide us your information at the Customer Resource Centre, transactions on the Enfamil A+ shop or to sign up for My Family BeginningsTM by Enfamil A+, you agree that we may contact you through a variety of means such as postal mail, phone, or email to provide you with information we believe may be of interest to you. The information you provide will be shared between Enfamil.ca, Enfamil A+ Shop in order to provide a seamless experience between the websites – allowing you to manage your My Family BeginningsTM by Enfamil A+ account along with your Enfamil A+ Shop purchase history activity.

On our websites,  some areas allow you to contact us to ask questions or provide comments. When you communicate with us and request a response, we ask for your name and contact information in order to properly respond to your request. Should we develop a new service on these websites for which we would use your personal information, we would seek your consent for that specific use.
Some areas of the websites may also require that you submit information to access specific services such as creating an online account or subscribing to a newsletter. In addition, we may offer you the opportunity to engage with our content on or through other social networking websites, plug-ins and applications. If you choose to do so, you may allow us to have access to certain information associated with your social media account such as your name, username, email address, profile picture, and gender to deliver the content or for the operation of the website, plug-in or application. When you provide your information from your social media account, we may use it to personalize your experience on our website and on other social networking websites, plug-ins and applications, and to provide you with products and services you may request or of interest to you. This account will also provide you with access and create an account for the Enfamil A+ Shop, the My Family Beginnings by Enfamil A+ app (for iOS and Android.


Finally, if we offer you coupons and/or promotional codes, we collect redemption data to best understand your needs.

How to opt out of collection of personal information?

Your Canadian Privacy Rights?

If you are a resident of Canada, you have a right to request access to your Personal Information and to request a correction to it if you believe it is inaccurate. If you have submitted Personal Information to us and would like to have access to it, or if you would like to have it removed or corrected, please contact us using the contact information provided below. What happens to personal information collected?

Mead Johnson Nutrition will never sell or rent or disclose your personal information to third parties unless required by law.

The only situations where Mead Johnson Nutrition will share your personal information are:

  • If you enroll or opt in to a Mead Johnson Nutrition program provided by a service provider to Mead Johnson Nutrition, or for information processing, mailing and/or delivery purposes.

You understand that in order to comply with the law, Mead Johnson Nutrition, may not be permitted to comply with your request to amend or remove personal information that was provided to Mead Johnson Nutrition, by a healthcare professional or a consumer regarding an adverse event or reaction involving medicine, medical products or medical devices.

Law Enforcement

In rare situations, we may be required by court order or other legal or regulatory process, or as otherwise required by law to divulge personal information to law enforcement authorities, the courts, or regulatory authorities. Mead Johnson Nutrition will cooperate in responding to such requests, in accordance with the regulatory or legal process, and will take appropriate measures to ensure that the requester understands the sensitive nature of any health-related personal information they receive.

Online Privacy for Children

We realize that our mission to provide pediatric nutritional care may entail the collection of personal information of children. We regard this information as highly sensitive and provide it with a corresponding level of protection. Aside from the information on children that is voluntarily provided by a parent or guardian who at all times does so with informed consent as to how we are using the information, we do not intend to collect personal information from children under 18 years old.
In all other instances, in the event that a child has provided us with personal information, the parent or guardian of that child may contact us via the contact information..
We will not make further contact with anyone identified as a child based on information provided to us.
