How will the Prime Minister’s announcement regarding new travel restrictions to contain the spread of COVID-19 impact trade and the delivery of essential goods between Canada and the United States?

The Prime Minister stated, This closure will not restrict trade or the delivery of essential goods due to the integration of our two economies.

What are you doing to address out of stock items in a timely manner so that I can get the formula I need for my baby? 

We know families count on us and our formulas. As such, our team has been working diligently to ensure your little one has the formula they need. To protect our employees, facilities, operations and product supply, we have increased precautionary measures for COVID-19 at every step of the supply chain. Working with our extensive manufacturing and distribution network, we have established contingency plans to ensure we are able to supply Enfamil A+ products to retailers across Canada and through our Enfamil A+ Store. We have a responsibility as a consumer healthcare company to ensure access to safe and affordable products during outbreaks such as COVID-19. Enfamil’s recommended retail pricing of our brands have not changed and will not change as a result of the COVID-19 outbreak. At the same time, pricing remains the sole discretion of the retailer. What precautions should parents be taking when preparing infant formula at home?

Proper hygiene, preparation, use and storage are important when preparing infant formula.  It is recommended that you continue to follow label instructions when preparing infant formula.   

Follow strict adherence to sterilization guidelines as indicated on the label, by washing your hands thoroughly with soap and water before preparing bottle for feeding and boiling clean bottles, nipples, caps, and utensils in water (2 minutes at a rolling boil).

What precautions should I take when receiving packages or bringing products home from the store? Should I wipe down the packaging?

The risk of spread of COVID-19 through shipped packages is low, because parcels may take days or weeks to be delivered. When handling products shipped to you or recently purchased, practice good hygiene such as washing your hands thoroughly with soap and water, avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth, and always clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces, including countertops, cabinet handles, light switches and doorknobs.

Can I make home-made formula or dilute the formula I currently have, to make it last longer?   

Enfamil A+ recognizes family concerns regarding potential formula shortages, and we are committed to doing our best to continue providing all the formula your little one needs. As always, we recommend preparing Enfamil A+ formulas exactly as instructed on the label.  Use as directed by your baby’s doctor.  Over diluting formula dilutes the calories and nutrients in the formula and your baby may not receive the nutrition she needs.

Due to the fact that almost everyone is taking a financial loss, will Enfamil A+ be putting anything on sale ?

What are the primary sources of supply for your products?

Our infant and toddler formulas, Enfagrow A+® toddler drinks, and medical foods are manufactured in the United States.  Many Ingredients in our formulas and toddler drinks come from suppliers in the United States; we also purchase ingredients from other countries. Please be assured that we take our responsibilities in feeding babies and children very seriously and will not take chances with their safety. We establish high standards and specifications for our raw ingredients and the vendors who supply them.

There has been no impact to our business. Our operations and infrastructure are running normally.  

How is your organization mobilizing to assess and mitigate the potential for supply chain disruption?

Why can I not buy more than 5 of each product sku of formula on the Enfamil A+ Shop?   

Enfamil A+ understands your concerns regarding COVID-19 and its impact on formula availability going forward. We are committed to doing our best to provide formulas for your little ones in an equitable manner as we navigate these challenging times. Therefore, we are implementing a Qty. 5 limit of product sku per person. We ask that our Enfamil A+ community joins us in our commitment to ensuring equitable availability of our formulas for every baby.  

Why can’t I cancel/change my order? 

Due to the recent influx of orders we are not able to change or cancel orders.  Our terms of sale state that once an order confirmation has been received we are not able to cancel an order due to our processing and we have called this out so that you are aware up front before ordering.  

When can I expect my order to arrive, and why can’t it be shipped overnight/expedited? 

We are working extremely hard to process the recent influx of orders in as timely a fashion as possible and, while some slight delays may occur, customers should still expect their order to arrive within 4-7 business days after shipping. We have suspended overnight/expedited shipping for the immediate future due to the extra procedures involved that otherwise jeopardizes our ability to efficiently process as many orders as possible.  

Where will my order ship from, and when can I expect it? Are there delays?  

All orders in Canada ship from Toronto and are delivered within 4-7 business days after shipping.  Due to the current high demand, we are doing everything we can to meet those commitments, but there may be individual instances where shipments take a few days longer. We understand your concern and we appreciate your patience.

Why is Enfamil A+ not offering Free Shipping for all orders?

Our normal free shipping is set at $125 dollars which represents close to 100% of our current orders.  We are watching the situation closely for orders and should there be a need to change this in order to support our consumer’s needs, we will adjust.
