Enfagrow A+ Learn & Grow video series is proud to bring you fun brain exercises for your toddler. Called Sink or Float, this cognitive game is designed for 16-month-old toddlers. There are a few reasons to love this activity. It encourages coordination and interaction with objects that either float or sink. It helps boost tactile perception, plus it promotes discovery through experience. Ready? Sit your toddler in a bathtub filled with water no deeper than their belly button. Stay very close. First, put some of their toys in the tub. The goal-- you want your toddler to point out the ones that float and those that sink. Encourage them throughout the activity. Next, try adding a cup to fill and empty. Then throw a few ice cubes into the mix. Your child will love watching them magically melt and disappear into the water. Of course, continue to reward your little one with lots of hugs. This activity is a great way to boost their coordination with objects and water, plus you're encouraging your child to explore the world around them a little more.
