How will I know when my baby is ready for solid foods?
Most babies are ready for solid foods when they're around 6 months old. Until then, your baby will get all the nutrients he needs from breast milk or infant formula.
At the 6-month mark, look for these food-ready signs: • He can sit with support and can control his head. • He no longer pushes food out of his mouth. • He can close his lips over a spoon. • He can move food with his tongue from the front to the back of his mouth.
