Is cow’s milk a good source of iron?
No, cow’s milk is not a good source of iron and the iron in cow’s milk isn’t absorbed well by the body. Wait until your baby is 9-12 months old before giving pasteurized whole cow’s milk. Drinking too much cow’s milk can lead to iron deficiency anemia.
Note: Consult your baby's doctor before introducing solid foods to your infant.
Enfamil A+ has 1.22 mg of iron per 100 mL at normal dilution.
Enfapro A+ has 1.35 mg of iron per 100 mL at normal dilution.
